In a surprising collaboration that breaks traditional forecasts, Ubisoft has announced an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering free additional story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Revealed

According to the formal announcement, "A mysterious meeting pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where rumors of prohibited ceremonies and terrifying changes reverberate through the darkness." The storyline introduces a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a secret cult.

The mission concentrates on "strange experiments and a terrifying enemy" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Metamorphoses

The teaser features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer ends with a powerful sequence showing a character, probably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Items and Bonus Content

Players who successfully complete the quest will acquire an unique katana in addition to several items hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
