Fresh Details Emerge Concerning the Location of Rob and Michele Singer Reiner's Bodies

Recent details have emerged about the shocking deaths of esteemed film director Rob Reiner and visual artist Michele Singer Reiner, whose bodies were located at their Brentwood, Los Angeles home on Sunday.

The Alarm

A source indicates quoting a confidential source, a massage therapist arriving for an appointment first raised the alarm after being unable to gain access the residence. This individual then contacted the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who lives in the vicinity.

After gaining access to the residence, Romy discovered her father's body. Accounts indicate she then fled the house in anguish, unaware at that moment that her mother's body was there as well. Another individual who had accompanied her promptly called 911. Afterward, first responders discovered Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Criminal Proceedings

The police have charged the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with two counts of first-degree murder, along with the use of a dangerous weapon, reportedly a knife. He is presently being held without bail.

Disputed Reports

The person close to the family challenged several previously reported details. They said that while Romy Reiner informed emergency responders that her brother Nick lived in a detached unit on the estate, she did not name him as a potential suspect at that moment.

Additionally disputed widely reported suggestions that Rob and Michele Singer Reiner had been especially "apprehensive" about Nick's behavior in the weeks leading up to the incident. Instead the family was "used to working through [Nick's] problems together."

The statement includes accounts of reportedly "unpredictable" conduct by Nick at a event held by Conan O'Brien on the night before the bodies were found. Although the source stated they were unable to confirm whether Rob had "scolded" his son at the party, they maintained that reports of a "heated argument" between the two were not correct.

Ongoing Inquiry Timeline

As stated by law enforcement officials, the medical examiner had yet to determine as of Tuesday whether the Reiners died Saturday night or on Sunday. Preliminary accounts suggested the condition of their bodies implied they had been dead for some hours.

Nick Reiner was arrested at around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the Exposition Park, roughly 15 miles from the scene. He was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, but his lawyer, Alan Jackson, said his client had a medical issue and would be unable to attend until no sooner than Wednesday.
