Star Refutes Anti-Vaccine Stance After Narrating Controversial Pandemic Film
Liam Neeson has lent his narration to a new documentary that casts doubt on the efficacy of vaccines and praises former government figure the political figure.
The Feature's Provocative Basis
Titled "Plague of Corruption," the project is based on a well-known publication written by Judy Mikovits, who became famous during the health crisis for claims that the virus was a result of a faulty batch of the influenza shot.
The book's writing partner, Kent Heckenlively, has also written books with far-right figure the Infowars host. The producer took to social media celebrating Neeson's involvement in the film.
A Firm Rebuttal
A spokesperson for Liam Neeson have released a comment strongly denying claims that he subscribes to anti-vaccine sentiments.
"We all acknowledge that corruption may occur within the medical sector, but that must not be conflated with being against vaccines," the statement reads. "Liam is not, and is not, anti-vaccination. His considerable work with the global charity reinforces his consistent support for global immunisation initiatives."
The response continued that the actor did not shape the film's editorial content and that inquiries about its assertions are best addressed to the filmmakers.
Major Themes In the Film
In the film, the voiceover provided by Neeson includes several strong points:
- It suggests that pro-vaccine voices have demanded "complete compliance" to health authorities.
- It declares that "medical science has become deeply politicized."
- Robert F Kennedy Jr is shown stating, "The major issue with vaccines is that they just aren't adequately tested."
- It takes aim at Covid lockdowns, saying they caused severe distress that led to the loss of thousands of lives.
- On the topic of Covid vaccines, it references a perspective that they were "developed too quickly" and seen as "hazardous tests."
Historical Controversy and Current Debates
The film further cites a past television report about HIV drug testing on children, which was later the focus of a formal apology by the broadcaster for editorial breaches.
Last month, Kennedy instructed the CDC to change its official position that there is no connection between vaccines and autism. This assertion is repeated in the film, even with a recent study from the World Health Organisation reiterating no evidence has been found.
A Previous Record of Advocacy
Standing in contrast to the documentary's tone, Neeson has formerly voiced strong support for vaccines in his role as a Unicef global ambassador.
Previously, he described vaccines as "an incredible human success story," stating that "The debate about vaccines in the past few years has overlooked how much benefit they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest collective achievements in our history."
The documentary concludes with Neeson's voice saying, "This marks not the finish of our story. This is the beginning of a different phase."
